About

MP Talent is a talent representative and management company CULTIVATING talent to make acting their business, CONNECTING talent to casting directors and producers, and COACHING talent to create acting as a craft.
MP Talent Agency, LLC, opened September 15, 2009. During that short time we have acquired almost 500 talented actors (many who can also sing, dance, model, spit fire and more) who are at various stages in their careers. We have a few babies, even more kids, some hardworking and eager teens and adults of all types. We pride ourselves on the diversity of our talent–ability, age, experience, type.
We continue to cultivate our talent pool working closely with each individual to hone their craft as an actor and perfect their calling cards–the head shot and resume.
So far we have connected hundreds of our actors on auditions with the key casting directors in Michigan, Chicago and a few in LA. Our actors have booked on Scream 4, Detroit 187, Things Fall Apart, Return to the Hiding Place, and Touchback, all Michigan-based productions.
We offer individual coaching to our actors as well as connections to classes which will grow their strengths as actors.
Malinda Petersen has a B.F.A. in theatre from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Thanks to her parents' patronage of her artistic aspirations, Malinda has worked almost exclusively in her field since graduating from college. A liberal arts degree can find you work!
Malinda has tried her hand at acting in Midwest regional theatre, a little burg called Hollywood and community theatre in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has also taught children the fine art of theatre for over 14 years. She recently became adjunct faculty at Grand Valley State University, teaching aspiring teachers how to incorporate theatre into their classrooms.
Malinda loves to be on stage, but also loves to see artists realizing their dreams of working in their chosen field and getting paid to do so. Malinda is an advocate for patronizing local businesses and products, which she believes includes talent.
Malinda is constantly amazed by the bevy of talent seen on local stages; the rest of the world should take notice.
